On September 14th, 2024, the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism of Somalia, in collaboration with the Somali Association of Travel and Tourism Agents (SATTA), successfully organized the highly anticipated Somali Tourism Expo 2024. Held at the Jazeera Hotel in Mogadishu, the event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the growth and innovation opportunities in Somalia’s evolving tourism sector.

Following this, Mr. Da’d Aweis Jama, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, delivered a speech that reflected on the broader significance of tourism for Somalia’s peacebuilding efforts and its growing reputation as a destination for international travelers:
